Founder

The vision behind Ambrosine.

Ambrosine was founded by a visionary whose experience spans leading large teams in a corporate laboratory setting in the United States and exploring ideas far beyond the laboratory. He brings that experience of coordinating people and scientific work to a company built around an unconventional ambition: to investigate a synthetic route to profound human experience.

During six months in India, he learned about the ancient yogic concept of amṛta—the nectar associated in the tradition with bliss and heightened experience. That encounter became the philosophical starting point for Ambrosine: an objective to explore whether qualities of this experience could one day be evoked through synthetic mechanisms.

He established Ambrosine to pursue that objective through programmable hydrogel and a serviceable material interface. Working alongside two long-standing colleagues, he brings the vision and direction; their expertise in biomaterials and polymer chemistry shapes the research behind it.

Head of Biomaterials and Biointerfaces

Where material meets interface.

A long-standing colleague of the founder, Ambrosine’s Head of Biomaterials and Biointerfaces brings deep experience in producing materials and understanding their performance within an interface. Their role connects the properties of the hydrogel to the demands of the port-coupled system and the biological questions the company intends to investigate.

They own the biological hypothesis: defining what an engineered material interface is intended to do, which mechanism could explain its behavior, and what measurements would support or challenge that explanation. Material formulation and interface performance are treated as connected research responsibilities.

At Ambrosine, their focus is translating the founder’s ambition into a testable material-to-function research program. They work closely with the Head of Chemistry to connect the hydrogel’s composition with its proposed role in the interface, keeping the scientific questions specific enough to investigate.

Head of Chemistry

The molecular architect.

Ambrosine’s Head of Chemistry is the team’s molecular architect: a long-standing colleague drawn to the mission and to the challenge of giving it a material foundation. They bring extensive experience in polymer chemistry, with particular expertise in hydrophilic networks, crosslinking, and formulation.

Their work focuses on the hydrogel itself—how its polymer network is structured, how a formulation is produced, and how its properties can be characterized and reproduced. Within the proposed port-coupled system, they connect molecular design with the material behavior the interface will require.

Working with the biomaterials lead, they translate research requirements into formulation choices and practical material-development work. Their objective is to build a dependable chemistry foundation for Ambrosine: a hydrogel whose composition, processing, and performance can be understood, documented, and refined.
